Once I completed my education, I worked in a market research firm called GlobalData for 18 months. I was involved in company profiling and came across many companies that inculcate Machine Learning and AI technologies to revolutionise the entire industry. This fascinated me and led to the decision of building a career in this field.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-great-learning\"><strong>Why Great Learning?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Great Learning's PG program in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/blog\/what-is-data-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Data Science (opens in a new tab)\">Data Science<\/a> and Engineering has one of the best curriculum when compared to other options in the market. The duration of the course is 5 months. Numerous course topics are covered in this period and are comprehensive as well. The career support provided by Great Learning is extremely helpful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-did-the-pgp-dse-program-assist-you-in-this-transition\"><strong>How did the PGP DSE program assist you in this transition?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>GL helped me by providing exposure to real-time analytics projects and career connections. This gave me a jump start in my data science and analytics journey. The course was interesting and I appreciate the experienced faculty who shared their industry knowledge. I was able to develop a comprehensive understanding of analytics through the course. After I attended interviews at various companies, I got an offer to work with an analytics firm called Cartesian Consulting. The company was looking for a candidate who can interact well with clients and understand their analytical needs. Someone who can give them a proper solution to their business problem. Since I have done an MBA, I had an understanding of a business perspective and because of this course, I got a technical perspective. Both aspects helped me. Thankful to the placements team for believing in me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"any-advice-for-future-aspirants\"><strong>Any advice for future aspirants?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Set goals, take them seriously, act on them. Once you have decided to make a shift into data analytics, believe in yourself and have confidence in your decision. You have to be patient and optimistic. Focus on what is being taught, and practice for the interviews with your peers.
