Here is how Abdul benefited from Great Learning\u2019s Data Science and Engineering Course.\u00a0(Now this program has become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/pg-program-data-science-course\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Science Course with Gen AI<\/a> program.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tell-us-about-your-professional-background\"><strong>Tell us about your professional background.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing my graduation, I worked at Amazon for around 8 months. I worked at Tech Mahindra for about 6 months. My job role was a Risk investigator.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-great-learning\"><strong>Why Great Learning?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>My job as a Risk investigator consisted of a lot of manual work. My manager told me about automation and how it could be implemented in our day to day jobs. This is when I became interested in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/blog\/what-is-machine-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Machine Learning (opens in a new tab)\">Machine Learning<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/blog\/what-is-data-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Data Science (opens in a new tab)\">Data Science<\/a> and decided to upskill. After some research, I decided to go ahead with Great Learning. One of the main reasons was because I felt that the course was economical and feasible. I saw sufficient reviews about the faculty. All of these factors pushed me towards joining Great Learning.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-was-the-best-part-about-pgp-dse\"><strong>What was the best part about PGP- DSE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The placements team was excellent! I was informed about upcoming job interviews in advance. This helped me prepare well. They taught us how to speak well in interviews. The course content was another plus point. After completing the class, the course content was given to us in the form of videos and PDF\u2019s for us to study later. The capstone project was effective as well. I was in a team of 4 learners and our project was based on unsupervised learning. The mentors were industry experts and had vast knowledge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My long term goal is to start a business of my own, and I feel like the concepts that I have learned through the PGP DSE course can be implemented in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"advice-for-future-pgp-dse-aspirants\"><strong>Advice for future PGP- DSE aspirants.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>My advice would be to prepare well. The study material provided is great, but you must go beyond this. Learn from external sources. Become friends with learners who are interested in the same domain as you.
