(Now this program has become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/pg-program-data-science-course\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Science Course with Gen AI<\/a> program)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tell-us-about-your-professional-background\"><strong>Tell us about your professional background.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I am from Electronics and Telecommunications background, and after completing my Masters I started working as a professor at JSPM College, Pune.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-great-learning\"><strong>Why Great Learning?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I was not that satisfied at my job and felt that I am not using my potential to the fullest. I decided that I want to go for a career transition which was indeed the toughest decision and risk as well. But I knew that the biggest risk is not taking any risk. In a world that is changing rapidly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks. I decided to take a Data Science course as I knew that it's booming, and most of the market today is captured by Machine Learning, andstarted looking for top institutions for the same. I considered Great Learning as well as IIT, Bangalore. Chose Great Learning because the curriculum design was fantastic. It covered all the things that the industry is asking for today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-did-you-like-most-about-the-pgp-dse-course\"><strong>What did you like most about the PGP- DSE Course?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When I started with the course, I felt like I was back in school, with a well-structured plan and dedicated timelines to follow. The curriculum design was a plus. I must say, they have excellent trainers who taught us right from scratch and concentrated on every small detail. Even the smallest doubts were answered right away. One of the best aspects was that every session was followed by in-class and take-home assignments. This gave me confidence in the concepts that I was being taught.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-was-your-experience-with-the-placements-team\"><strong>How was your experience with the placements team?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon after course completion, I was pulled into the placement pool. The placement team pays close attention to every detail, right from resume building to interviews. I started getting calls from companies. Initially, for 2 companies, I could clear all the technical rounds easily since what was taught in class was sufficient to ace the interview. But I couldn\u2019t make it. The placement team didn\u2019t give up on me and they pushed me even harder. In the end, I got in for the top firm, <strong>Ernst &amp; Young<\/strong> as Senior-Data Analyst.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"advice-for-future-pgp-dse-aspirants\"><strong>Advice for future PGP- DSE aspirants.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. For all who are looking for a career transition, I must say Great Learning will help you do that in a short period which makes it unique from other institutes. Trust the Great Learning process.
