Being from a non-IT background is not a disadvantage as long as you are consistent with your learning. Read further to learn about Srinidhi's journey with Great Learning's PGP Data Science and Business Analytics Course<\/a> in her own words. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have completed my MSc in Economics from NMIMS, Mumbai. After the completion of my postgraduate degree, I have done various internships. This created an interest in Data Analytics, and I wanted to work in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, I was a fresher and was sceptical about getting a job in Data Analytics<\/a>. Secondly, I was from a non-IT background. These were the main challenges before joining the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a lot of research, I found that Great Learning was one of the best in terms of curriculum and academic support. Through a very interactive session and supportive program manager, all the apprehensions of online learning were mitigated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All our mentors are from the industry and we get to learn all the practical applications from them. So for someone like me, with no prior experience in analytics, I got an exposure about the industry practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentors were highly supportive. Whenever we had any queries regarding the concepts, they took out their time and went an extra mile to help us out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since very few of them from our batch were from non-IT background, I was a little worried that I might not be able to grasp the concepts as quickly as others can. My mentor gave me confidence that I can do well. Of course, believing in him helped me reach my goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hard work and guidance of mentors made me confident during the interviews and it helped get into the Big 4 as a Data Analyst.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This field welcomes everyone. Just be patient and consistent in learning, this will overtime make you confident for you to be in a better position.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
