Read further to learn about Pamela Sarkar's journey with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/pg-program-data-science-and-business-analytics-course\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Great Learning's PGP Data Science and Business Analytics Course<\/a> in her own words. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a biotech engineer with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/mba-master-of-business-administration-hybrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MBA in marketing<\/a> and HR with 8 years of experience and have worked for multiple companies. I was into sales admin, and after the Great Learning course, I am a full-time business analyst in my current company. It plays a key role in my career transition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I joined SGS India Pvt. Ltd (Health Science) in 2017 as a Sales admin &amp; CRM superuser. It was a big challenge when I moved to the Strategic Transformation department as a business analyst in the year 2019 (April) without any professional certification and a very basic understanding of analytics. At that time, I was looking for the best certification course,<strong><em> and Great Learning offered me dual certification and international recognition. It gives me the added value in my career. <\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I started my journey as a business analyst, I initially had a very basic idea about this field, which led me to many challenges like timely submission, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, managing big data, etc. Now my core areas are Predictive Analytics &amp; Data Visualization, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/blog\/what-is-data-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Science<\/a> tools like R, Tableau made my life easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My current company's recent project on \u201cCOVID 19 Predictive Analytics\u201d helped me grow within the organization. Honestly, when I started my journey with Great Learning, I was a little bit worried about it (as it is my 1st online course), but as time goes, it has turned into the most satisfactory decision ever. <strong><em>The program is very well planned, and the course content video and mentoring sessions helped me develop my analytical skills and understanding of data.<\/em><\/strong> This program helps me build a strong foundation in data science. All mini-projects and a capstone project gradually increased my interest in analytics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygreatlearning.com\/data-science\/courses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">free online courses<\/a> require hard work and are not easier than traditional classes, and in the weekly mentored learning sessions, the one-to-one conversation helped us to grow individually and help us build a strong foundation in data science. The program managers are also open to feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the mentors were really nice to me throughout my course. <strong><em>Mentors and trainers have industry experience and real-life experience. I'd like to express my gratitude to all my mentors for their assistance and support.<\/em><\/strong> I believe we got everything that we could get through the course. All the industry sessions gave us practical knowledge about what is currently happening in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to mention the capstone project and our mentor, Mr. Abhay Poddar.
