When you find a subject that you're interested in, it becomes really exciting to enter the field and study the concepts. Read further to learn more about Akash Basu's journey with Great Learning's PGP Data Science and Business Analytics<\/a> Course in his own words. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I'm from an engineering background. I did my B. Tech in Electronics and Communication engineering and eventually bagged a job in the IT sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining the PGP DSBA program with Great Learning, I was working at a market research company as a Big data Developer, wherein I developed an interest in the Analytics field and hence, aspired to pursue a career in the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though I was in an IT role, my work involved hand-in-hand coordination with the Analytics team, and hence it was difficult for me to understand the nature of their work. Taking the distance learning (online) course was the best choice so that I could work and learn in parallel to upskill myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mentored learning sessions at Great Learning helped a lot in clearing conceptual doubts to better learn the topics involved in the curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quality of mentored learning sessions was top-notch, with a wide range of faculties specializing in various topics. The support was immense throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly learned skills helped me bag a job in the field I aspired to be a part of. <\/em><\/strong>And eventually, I cracked the interview getting a job at a reputed brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a word of advice to all the aspirants like me, I'd like to say that there will be doubts throughout this journey while making the transition. There will be rejections. But that's just a part of life. Embrace it, and up your level every time you hit a wall.
