I am a Civil Engineering graduate with a master's in \"Structural Engineering\" and pursuing my Ph.D. I have 5+ years of experience as an Assistant professor and structural engineer before joining WNS as an 'Analyst \u2013 Data Science.' Before joining this PG program in AIML<\/a>, I was working as a 'structural engineer' in a construction company and also was a part-time 'subject matter expert.' Parallel to my job, I was doing my research work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a structural engineer, my previous professional experience had a situation wherein the overall costs of the construction core materials were too high due to the client's specific architecture. The challenge was to make safe and economical designs. <\/strong>The software and tools used in the industry don't always provide economical designs; hence much complex manual decisions were made to address the problem. During the process, I felt the need to update the software and tools used to make things happen quickly and effectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Great Learning was suggested to me by many friends and is the best platform for anyone who is looking for a career transition. Myself being an assistant professor for 4 years and with the feedback from many of my students, the online class was always my last preference. The way Great Learning's course is designed and the quality it maintains erased all my complaints about online classes. The best part was the tracking and monitoring system with no compromise in quality helped me apply everything I learned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concepts learned during the course get revised during the mentor sessions, and all the mentors are industry experts who gave us real-time applications of each concept learned, which helps in the clear understanding of concepts and improving the knowledge. There is no compromise for quality in Great Learning, and it's no different for the mentorship sessions. I have been a part of many sessions that were extended for more than an hour than the scheduled duration. That shows the dedication of the experts in making every concept clear theoretically and its applications. The best part of the mentoring session is that only a maximum of 10-12 people will be present in each batch. A mentor can monitor and address each student's doubts and problems. The suggestions and assignments given by the mentor over and above Great Learning's assessment have also greatly helped me improve my coding skills and also cracking the interview.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have accomplished great confidence and a place for myself to learn, contribute and grow in the most competitive world in one of the most demanding skills of present and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To all the AIML aspirants, I can only say that concentrate more on statistics and probability in the beginning and try to understand its application in every concept you learn through the course.
