It\u2019s an immense pleasure joining Great Learning. An amazing opportunity to learn data science concepts. I am Sachin Chadha. I was born in Bangalore. I am a B.Com Graduate from Delhi University. I am a Professional Yoga Practitioner, a football goalkeeper, and an ambivert in nature, and love to read British classics books. I am a broad-minded guy. I wanted to be different and stand out from the crowd. In my college days, I got introduced to \"Data Science\". It is a new term or subject which I heard. I did a plethora of research. I decided that this is going to be my career. I was cautioned that my family can't afford the high fees because of financial constraints and commitment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I came to know about Great Learning. The only thing is I have to tell my family and get approval to pay the fees. I proved that I can learn the concepts even though it is a new concepts. I paid my fees through the loan. Outside the box of our modules, I did some research. I was focused and stubborn that I want to pursue my career in the Data Science field. After joining the DSBA program,<\/a> I was shocked that I am the only fresher and young guy in my batch. My colleagues are industry experts. I compared a lot of other colleges and websites that provide Data Science. I decided to pursue my Data Science career in Great Learning because of its flexible timings, well-designed curriculum, world-class faculties, industry expert mentorship, amazing support from program managers, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no challenges professionally. Money was my problem. It is a huge risk that I have to decide. From uploading documents to the loan approval process, I was tensed that \" what if anything goes upside down? \". After confirmation of my loan approval, I was joyous and at the same time focused on what should be my next step. I wanted to prove myself. \"Step out of your comfort zone\" is the first and foremost decision in your life. This is my first career path as a \"Data Scientist\". It is a new field that has a prominent growth. Suddenly, I received a call from the data science company which I am currently working for.
I attended the telephonic round and got selected. The only expectation was \"within the specific duration, sum up insights of the data\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me it was \" Practice, Perseverance, Learning and Curiosity\", especially for this role, it is vital. You have to constantly update yourselves. Great Learning boosted my career and gave me an amazing opportunity. I want to thank the cosmos, the universe, and my parents for their gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main advantages is flexible timings and pre-recorded videos, in my batch. I can revisit or watch again if I have to recall the concepts. Balancing my life and my career as well. Mentor support was useful. I am so grateful for this job but this is the first step. I am learning. Making mistakes is common but learning from that, is your talent . Mindset, Critical Thinking, and constant learning is important in this field. You have to think and feel the data science. It is an art and you are the creator and craft your tools to create a better artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 One thing I would suggest is that \" Fitting and providing good accuracy is not your job\". You have to learn and apply in the right way to derive better results. You are a bridge connecting the business and IT fields. They both can't understand their functions. \" Most of the Data Scientists spend their 60% of work on EDA and the remaining 40% is data modeling and fitting\".  Explore new methods and write codes efficiently when you get experience. \" Learn behind the math of each machine learning algorithm practically and statistics as well\". \" Have a flow of concept of what is your next process and note down what are your business requirements and your expectations and try to prove by hypothesis testing\".<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
