My biggest professional challenge and fear was the world moving towards rapid digitalization, and I felt being a pure process consultant would leave me years behind in my career. With the growing amount of data being generated and stored by companies, I believed that learning advanced analytics would help take my career to the next level. I compared multiple online programs and found that none of them covered the domain part as extensively as Great Learning. I had no apprehensions about learning in online mediums as the weekly mentor sessions helped me connect with the mentor directly for any queries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The best part of the course was the mentored learning sessions as the mentors were knowledgeable and patient enough to clear my doubts. I could connect directly with a mentor and receive clarifications on the week's learning. The mentors' expertise was instrumental in understanding the concepts in detail and applying them in my area of work. Without mentor support, I don't think I would have understood the concepts clearly or completed the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, having spent 11 months in the program, I approach supply chain problems from an analytics standpoint with more confidence. I can easily identify the root cause of problems and provide instant solutions with the help of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My advice to people looking forward to learning analytics is to remember that making analytical models is probably the easiest part of analytics. What's more important is to understand the business aspect of the problem, why a specific model was chosen, and what insights we gain from the output.
