Curriculum

The curriculum is designed by experienced and distinguished faculty of the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay. The modules of the curriculum cover the entire User Experience process of User Research and Analysis, UX Design Creation, Design Testing, and Implementation. The pedagogy will be highly interactive by leveraging technology, and will consist of a judicious blend of lectures and learning by doing. Apart from individual assignments, the participants will work on an immersive group project. This is an opportunity to apply the concepts and methods learned over the course of the program in a project, that can be showcased in a design portfolio.

Faculty Bio

Anirudha Joshi is a professor in the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay, where he teaches Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design.
Anirudha is involved in designing interactive products for emergent users in developing economies, with a significant focus on Indian users. His work has been for users in urban and rural India and on a variety of platforms including desktops, the web, mobile phones, ATMs, and custom hardware.
Anirudha has a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, an M.Des. in Visual Communication from the Industrial Design Centre, and a Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering, all from IIT Bombay. His Ph.D thesis was about integration of HCI activities in software engineering for usability goals achievement. This mix of engineering and design backgrounds has given him a unique perspective in the multi-disciplinary field of HCI.

Eligibility

Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/ DEC/AIU/State Government/ recognised international universities) in Science, Design, Arts, Humanities or Engineering disciplines with at least 1 year of work experience (after diploma or graduation).
