Getting Started with Claude Code

Welcome to this course about Claude Code, the agentic command line interface built by Anthropic which enables developers and technical professionals to build, troubleshoot, and automate their software workflows more effectively. Through this course, we will cover what Claude Code is, how it is different from Claude Chat and Claude Cowork, and what use cases have contributed to its adoption in real-world industries. Further, you will learn how Claude Code works under the hood by exploring topics like its architecture, input-output workflow, tokens, context window size, prompts, and limitations. Then, through this course, you will put into practice Claude Code through various exercises to build real projects with Claude Code, using it as both a reasoning engine as well as a content generation engine. Finally, you will gain insights into how Claude Code can be used, covering topic such as prompt engineering, cost optimization, performance tuning, security, ethics, working around Claude Code limitations and much more.
