Our Journey

2013

Mohan Lakhamraju and Hari Nair founded Great Learning to realize their dream of making every working professional, in the country, data proficient. Program development and market research begin soon after.

2014

Our flagship program in Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) is launched in 3 cities – Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon. The team works closely with faculty, industry leaders, alumni, and students to make the program highly industry-relevant, comprehensive and rigorous.

2015

PG Program – Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) is listed as the top analytics program in the country by Analytics India Magazine, Outlook, Business Standard, etc. This continues for two years in a row and we work hard to retain our numerouno status.

2016

Great Learning expands its wings to 6 metropolitan centers including Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Two new programs are launched – PG Program in Management and BACP (Business Analytics Certification Program). We impact 1000+ working professionals’ lives and careers through our programs.

2017

Great Learning successfully delivered 2 million learning hours (and counting) in our quest for making every professional future-ready in an exceedingly data-driven world. Our newest program, PG Program – Big Data (PGP-BDA), is launched in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

2018

We launched 50th batch of our flagship program in Business Analytics, as well as partnered with The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business to launch it internationally. We also launched 6 new programs in Cloud computing, DevOps, Full Stack Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Through these initiatives impacted 5000+ working professionals’ lives and careers through our programs.

2019

We are proud to have delivered more than 10 million hours of learning to 13500+ learners from 68+ countries, through a Guru (Industry & Subject Matter Expert) network that grew to 1000+. This year also saw us diversifying our Business Management portfolio with programs in Digital Business, Digital Marketing and Design Thinking, through collaborations with Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, and Stanford Executive Education. We also expanded our offerings for senior leaders with specifically tailored programs in AI and Analytics. We launched GL-Excelerate, our flagship career initiative to connect learners and alumni with the top corporates in the country.
