The Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD) is a part of The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) at Stanford University. Founded in 1969 and formerly based within Stanford’s School of Engineering, SCPD makes it possible for today's best and brightest professionals to enroll in Stanford University programs while they maintain their careers. A premier AMBA-accredited business school in India, Great Lakes Institute of Management was established in 2004 by Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Professor Emeritus at Kellogg School of Management. Our Journey


Mohan Lakhamraju and Hari Nair establish Great Learning to realize their dream of making every working professional data proficient. Program development and market research begin soon after.


Our flagship program - PG Program in Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) is listed as the top analytics program in India by leading ranking bodies and publications. This continues for 5 years in a row and we work hard to retain our numero-uno status. The team works closely with faculty, industry leaders, alumni, and students to make the program highly industry-relevant, comprehensive and rigorous.


We successfully deliver 2 million learning hours in our quest for making every professional future-ready in an exceedingly data-driven world. We also launch new programs in Big Data and Business Analytics and expand our wings to 6 metropolitan centres, all the while impacting the lives and careers of 1000+ working professionals.


We partner with McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin to launch Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programs in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. We also launch a new program in Cloud Computing. Through these initiatives, we continue to empower more and more professionals -- now over 5000 careers impacted.


This year is a big one for us. We are proud to have delivered more than 22 million+ hours of learning to 25000+ learners from 140+ countries, through a mentor network that grew to 1500+. While achieving this milestone, we diversify our portfolio further with a range of programs in Cyber Security, Design Thinking, and Digital Business through collaborations with Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford Center for Professional Development and Purdue University. We also expand our offerings for senior leaders with specifically tailored programs in AI and Analytics. Finally, we launch GL-Excelerate, our flagship initiative to empower learners to gain tangible career outcomes through our programs.
