How do Great Learning's university partnerships work?
Great Learning collaborates with universities to design and deliver professional education programs for working professionals. For select program(s), a lead faculty from the university may work with Great Learning to develop the curriculum and record the lectures. In certain programs, the university faculty also conduct live sessions and will be mentioned explicitly on the website and brochure.
Great Learning is responsible for managing admissions, the learning experience, cohort operations, mentored learning sessions, and learner support. On a day-to-day basis, your primary contacts will be members of the Great Learning team, rather than university faculty.
Great Learning offers professional education programs delivered in partnership with top universities, focused on structured, application-oriented learning. Access to the university campus, library, and student services is not part of the program structure, unless specifically mentioned in the program brochure.
Who will be your primary contact at Great Learning?
You will interact with two key individuals during the course of your learning journey: Program Advisor and Program Manager.
The Program Advisor is your first point of contact at Great Learning. They guide you through the admissions process by understanding your background and aspirations, and assess the program fit.
The Program Manager is your point of contact program start, and will continue supporting you for the entire duration of the program. They track your progress, guide you when you have questions, and ensure you have everything you need to complete the program successfully.
Admissions & Enrollment
What happens once I submit an enquiry on the website?
Once you submit an enquiry on the program website, you will receive an email with the program brochure and a call from your Program Advisor. If you are unable to take the call, you can schedule one at a time that works for you.
During the discovery call, the Program Advisor will assess your professional background and career objectives to evaluate if the program is suitable for you. They will also address any queries you may have regarding the curriculum, program structure, projects, assessment, fees and timeline. Once your queries are resolved, you will be guided towards filling out the application form.
What happens once I submit the application form?
Once the application is submitted, you will receive a call from the Program Advisor within 2 days. Every application is reviewed and screened by the Admissions Office. Upon selection, an Offer Letter is formally issued either by the concerned university or by Great Learning on behalf of the concerned university or industry partner.
Admissions for each batch are conducted within defined timelines and are subject to seat availability. If a batch reaches full capacity or as otherwise communicated by the University Partner and/or Great Learning, candidates may be guided to the next available batch.
Programs are delivered as per the prescribed academic schedule. However, to support the learning experience and address academic, operational, or curriculum-related requirements, the University Partner and/or Great Learning may, upon prior intimation, revise batch schedules or program completion timelines, where necessary.
Participation to the program is confirmed by remitting the required program fee. Specific details regarding admission fee and payment will be provided by your Program Advisor.
What happens after I enroll and before my program begins?
Upon enrollment, your Program Advisor, who guided you through the admissions process, will transition you to the Program Office. Your journey will be handled by the program office and you will be assigned to a dedicated Program Manager once the program starts.
The Program Office will help you with program start date, provide batch details, and confirm your access to the learning management system (LMS) prior to the commencement of the program.
Learning Experience & Course Content
What learning platform does Great Learning use? What are its technical requirements?
Olympus is Great Learning's proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) utilized for the delivery of all program content. It is fully accessible via any modern web browser on a desktop or laptop, with complete support for Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
A mobile application is available for essential access; however, certain features, including coding labs and assessments, necessitate a desktop or laptop for full functionality. Detailed technical requirements for the program are provided to learners prior to the program commencement.
For issues related to login credentials or loss of access, learners should contact their designated Program Manager via WhatsApp or email.
What does the learning experience look like? How is a typical week structured?
The program follows a blended learning model, combining self-paced study with live, mentored sessions. Each week, recorded video lectures are released for learners to go through at their convenience.
Over the weekend, learners join a live online session with a mentor who is an industry expert, where they clarify doubts, apply concepts to real-world problems, and engage in peer discussions. This flipped-classroom approach ensures that live sessions are focused on application and deeper understanding, rather than passive learning.
Recorded lectures are developed and delivered by faculty. Live mentored learning sessions are conducted by Great Learning's network of industry experts. In some programs, the university faculty may conduct live sessions.
Session timings are communicated at the commencement of the program.
Who are Great Learning's mentors, and what can I expect from mentored learning sessions?
Great Learning mentors are industry professionals who are experts in their field. They are not full-time academics but practising professionals who bring real-world context to the concepts covered in the program. Mentors are selected based on their professional background and experience. In some cases, mentors may themselves be alumni of the program, bringing firsthand experience of the learning journey.
Each week, the mentor conducts a live session of approximately two hours, built around the week's self-paced video lectures. The session covers a content recap, case studies, and practical exercises, and closes with Q&A and doubt clearing. Sessions may run longer depending on cohort engagement. Mentors are assigned based on the topic being covered, so the mentor may vary across the duration of the program.
Mentored learning sessions are where learners apply the week's content, engage with peers, and get real-time doubt-resolution. It is recommended to attend the sessions to make the most out of the program.
What does program evaluation look like?
Learners will be evaluated through a continuous assessment process that includes a blend of quizzes, assignments, and projects.
Quizzes are auto-evaluated. Projects and assignments are evaluated by evaluators, which may include industry professionals and subject matter experts, ensuring feedback is grounded in real-world application and not just academic theory. Projects are typically individual, though some programs may include group-based projects.
Assessment criteria, grading methodology and passing requirements are specific to each program and are outlined in the program handbook.
Certificates are issued upon successfully completing all program requirements as stated in the program handbook, and are typically issued within 30 days of the program concluding.
Certain evaluation processes may be supported by technology-enabled tools, including AI-assisted platforms, as applicable.
How frequently is the course content reviewed and updated?
In light of the rapid advancements in technology and AI, content is continuously reviewed and may be updated from time to time to reflect relevant developments. Decisions regarding updates are made in coordination with the university and/or relevant academic or industry stakeholders, where applicable.
How does the learner support work?
Learners are advised to contact their Program Manager through WhatsApp, email, or by submitting a support ticket via the Olympus platform. The initial response will be provided within 24-48 hours. Depending on the complexity of the query, resolution may require a longer duration, and the Program Manager will ensure the learner is regularly updated on the status of their request.
For academic matters, the academic team or subject matter experts help with a resolution and the turn around time may vary according to the complexity of the query.
Certificates & Credentials
Who issues the certificate and when do I receive it?
The certificate is issued by different institutions depending on the program you are enrolled in:
- University Programs: The certificate is issued by the partner university.
- Great Learning Programs: The certificate is issued by Great Learning.
- Industry Partner Programs: The certificate is issued by the respective industry partner.
A sample certificate can be reviewed in the program brochure and the website prior to enrollment.
Certificates are issued exclusively upon the successful fulfillment of all program requirements, including full payment of the program fee, as detailed in the program handbook. They are typically issued within 30 days following the official conclusion of the program.
Fees, Refunds & Deferrals
What does the program fee include, and what payment options are available?
The program fee covers access to the learning platform and program-related academic content and resources made available as part of the program, including recorded lectures, live mentored learning sessions, assessments, assignments, projects, evaluation support, and learner support services, where applicable. Access to specific features, tools, certifications, campus immersions, software, third-party services, or additional benefits may vary by program and will be detailed in the relevant program brochure or program page. Your Program Advisor can walk you through the full fee breakdown for the program you are applying to.
EMI options are available across all programs through third-party credit facilitators. The specific plans available to you depend on your region and credit eligibility. Your Program Advisor will share the options applicable to you.
What is Great Learning's refund and deferral policy?

Terms and conditions with respect to these are detailed in your offer letter / program handbook. Requests will be evaluated on a case by case basis (with appropriate documentation) at the sole discretion of Great Learning.
