SoapUI is abbreviated as Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface. It is an open-source and cross-platform application used for web service testing for Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and representational state transfers (REST). SoapUI Pro is a commercial version that was developed by Eviware Software AB, but it was later acquired by SmartBear Software later in 2011. SoapUI has notably been downloaded over a couple of million times since its initial release. SoapUI is built completely on the Java platform, and it makes use of Swing for the user interface. So it is evident that SoapUI is a cross-platform application. The recent version SoapUI is capable of supporting IDEs like IDEA, Eclipse, and NetBeans.
