It is always good to upskill to stay relevant in the industry and continue learning. Read about Sathish’s journey with Great Learning’s PGP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course in his own words.

It is May 2020, one year since I started the journey with Great Learning to enrich my knowledge on AIML. The day has come for me to write to you on how the course went (and of course I realize that in the real sense, my journey in AIML has just started).

Back in early 2019 or late 2018, I was looking for a good course that could give me a platform to enrich my knowledge in this area, give me flexibility in learning from home, and at the same time get me a certification from a good university. The course from Great Learning ticked all the criteria. So, I enrolled in the course. Being in a management position since 2012, I was wondering if I could comprehensively learn the topics without burning out completely. I kept my fingers crossed to see how it takes off. Of course, there were few challenges to begin with, but I would like to thank the Great Learning team for acting quickly on our request and giving the best mentors for both ML and AI topics.

My special thanks are always for Abhijit, Suryansh, and the team working in the program office/ back office support. They are the real saviours who helped me in getting the adept knowledge during this period. Going the extra mile has always been the speciality of these guys. For sure, I am now a lot more confident to lead the teams working on these cutting edge topics.

Thanks to my mentors, Krishnav (AI) and Suvajit (ML). Both played crucial roles in crossing this first milestone of completing the course. Suvajit – for setting up the pace, and later Krishnav for taking it up a notch higher.

AIML has a good blend of fundamentals and exposure to advanced topics. It is helping me a lot in my reviews/project and in steering discussions that I have in my team. Thank you very much for bringing up this curriculum. As I keep saying, my journey in the CV/NLP topics has become more comprehensive and will continue to do so. Thanks for setting up a platform for my continuous learning.

Thank you all for making this journey a pleasant one. Also, thanks to my fellow team members – who made the discussions brighter.
