Tell us about your professional background.

I was working with support in ITSM with no background in Cloud Computing.

Why Great Learning?

I saw some reviews online and checked the syllabus. And the syllabus at Great learning was exactly what I was looking for. This is why I decided to join Great Learning’s Cloud Computing Course.

Did you have a career transition?

Yes, I did. Before joining the cloud computing program I was working completely with ITSM, problem management and incident management. After completing the course, I started picking up small tasks related to cloud computing within my company and gained some confidence and experience through this. This is when I realised I can enter the field of cloud and flip my career. I went through all the assignments and the course videos again, and I got a big break at Mastercard.

Why did you choose to upskill?

With the trending technologies in the market, along with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cloud computing is one of the most widely used technologies. I decided to upskill in this domain.

What did you like the most about the course?

When you look at my professional background, you can see that I have never worked with cloud computing. When I was looking for a course, I went through the syllabus. I saw that PGP-CC covered all the concepts from the foundations until the complex details. This is what I liked the most about the course. The course curriculum was structured in such a way that they can understand the concepts from the basics to the topics that will help them enter the market. So I would say that it is structured well.

How was the career support?

It was quite good. I was working for several hours during my job at the time, and if I was ever frustrated, I would approach GL. They always pushed me to continue the course and not quit. Along with professional support, they provided me with emotional support as well. They were keen to help me resolve my queries.

Advice for future Cloud Computing aspirants.

You should go ahead with it if you wish to change your career. Whether you have a background in Cloud computing or not, this is the best thing that can happen to you. I would recommend it.
