Module 2 will acquaint you with the introduction to TEFL / TESOL, the teaching contexts of TEFL / TESOL globally, the teaching methods, communicative techniques, the role of the teacher, classroom culture, and basic certification & ethics of teaching.
Second Language Acquisition Theories and Learner Differences
Module 3 will acquaint you with the basic theories of Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Krashen’s hypothesis, interlanguage, the influence of age and motivation, L1 transfer, teaching students of mixed abilities, and teaching diverse & Special Education Needs (SEN) students.
Lesson Planning and Classroom Management
Module 3 will acquaint you with lesson planning with objectives, PPP approach and task based approach, time, grouping, classroom procedures, classroom management, and teaching online classes.
Teaching Grammar and Vocabulary
Module 4 will acquaint you with deductive & inductive grammar, presentation in context, types of practice, word choice, teaching vocabulary in context, recycling, error correction and language integration with skills.
Teaching the Four Skills: Listening and Speaking
In this module, you will learn about listening process, materials selection, pronunciation, speaking, communicative exercises, management of fluency and accuracy, and assessment of oral proficiency.
Teaching the Four Skills: Reading and Writing
In this module, you will learn about reading models and subskills, text selection, reading exercises, writing process, paragraph and essay structure, providing feedback, and integration of reading and writing.
