Learning sessions are very interesting, says Mahantesh Ambali, an alumnus of the PGP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Course at Great Learning. Read further to learn more about his journey.
I’m a backend developer with ten years of experience, mainly in the retail/e-commerce industry. I always like to be up to date with new technologies. Before joining the course, I was working as a developer on java/j2ee with exposure to TBs of unstructured data from which we wanted to make some sense. I was not able to understand data and make inferences from it, which was not helping our business team, which in turn caused revenue loss. Great Learning has high calibre trainers who work hard to make sure they convey the points to students. And students need to complete Internal/External Assessments and Module Projects which in turn solidify the concepts.
These sessions were very helpful since people from great universities or industry experts talk about a day in a live scenario. Learning sessions are very interesting, with initial theoretical concepts followed by practical notebook walkthroughs. The Great Learning course played a good role in helping me apply concepts learnt in the course. There was business data lying around using which we built Machine Learning models which predict the breakage of items in future with a considerable amount of accuracy. The Great Learning course will act as a cushion for people starting to keep their foot in the AI-ML world.
