Mentors take additional initiatives to make sessions more fruitful – Shridhar Chittaru, PGP AIML

My background ranges from working in typical software product development to Large scale program development. I worked in the US, UK, Middle East, Australia, and India delivering high-value programs right from initiation to implementation, both from the client-side and vendor side. My last experience is in a bank heading their Risk Analytics and Risk Architecture division highly involved in the development, deployment, and maintenance of Advanced Internal Rating Based (AIRB) default and loss prediction statistical and machine learning models. Right now I am taking a year’s vacation in India.

When I was directing model development teams from reputed consultants, I felt most of the students or consultants are too preoccupied with machine learning algorithms and model development processes. Most of them lack experience in understanding and qualifying data samples they are working with. I felt elevating them in that perspective is a bit of a challenge most of the time. The rest of it is downhill.

I did many courses before, and all of them were online. However, they were all fragmented. I wanted a wholistic course with programming as well as I like programming very much. I felt Great Learning has good faculty and syllabus. I feel Great Learning has a lot to learn about the learning process. My view is shared with an expectation that GL will take it with the right spirit.

If I am allowed to say, we need to work hard to achieve something and to do well in the Great Learning AIML course. They are our Mentor Murali and Our Program manager Aakash. I am not trying to patronize them at all. It is the truth. They are working a lot harder than they should. Mentors take additional initiatives to make sessions more fruitful.

I guess, I am organizing my thoughts and learning in the subject area of AIML. Now, I feel I can direct an AIML development team in any domain.
