I am from the financial sector. I have served 17 years in a Bank & then 2 years in a Pvt Ltd Company, both in senior management grade. I have done a Masters In Statistics. Completed CAIIB from IIBF. I am also TALLY certified. At the time of the first wave of the COVID pandemic, I had some leisure time as I was on break and only engaged as an online faculty of Mathematics and Statistics.

Being a student of Statistics, the analytical inherence is already there. In today’s world, the thing generated maximum with time is data, and that too from the financial domain. My long-standing experience in the financial domain, along with my statistical background, lured me to opt for Data Science and Analytics. After thorough discussions with my friends (who are in the field of Data Science) & their suggestions, I have enrolled with ‘Great Learning’ as my stepping stone towards my dream destination.

The course materials are exhaustive and well designed. They have covered several aspects in different domains to make the learners well equipped with the real-world scenario. Plenty of case studies, projects, and hands-on are compiled to optimize the benefits of the learners. The modules are made, keeping ample time to pass through.

The faculties are renowned and established names in the field and presented the learning videos with conceptual details along with case studies in easily understandable manners. The mentors have mingled with the group with their ‘anytime, anywhere’ support and made the course more interesting and pleasing. My personal thanks to the program managers for their timely coordination.

Nowadays, the entire world is a plethora of information. But insufficient & unnecessary data frequently lead to misinterpretations. With a better understanding and control over data you gain from this course, you will be far ahead of others. To have the most accurate interpretations & predictions, preparation of data is most important. Most of the energy & time should be devoted to data manipulation & EDA as the insights and recommendations are based on those findings. The rest is done by the system algorithms.

I suggest that whoever wants to experience this journey has to be regular. It is always better to study & practice on a daily basis (whatever less time available maybe) than to cover up on weekends.

It is a complete journey towards data-driven logical conclusions over emotional senses. Now, I am confident enough to sail through my destined journey. Massive opportunities are awaiting!
