Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is growing rapidly. Upskilling in this field can prove to be beneficial. Read further to learn about Rajeev Soni’s journey with Great Learning’s PGP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Program in his own words.
I am Rajeev Soni, and I have a Master’s in Biotechnology from JNU, New Delhi and a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, UK; and I possess 25 years of experience in the field. I was and am heading Genei labs (a Rivaara company) in the field of Molecular Biology and Molecular Diagnostics.
I was intrigued by the field of AI and Machine learning and wanted to understand how AI and machine learning can be used to handle and transform Big Data. Due to the reputation of Great learning in the field and the success stories of the past students, I chose to enrol with Great Learning.
The program sessions were really important and informative, and despite the COVID challenges, online sessions from wonderful teachers helped a lot in gaining a sufficient understanding of the field of AI and machine learning. Few of the teachers were par excellence, e.g. Mukesh Rao and Rajeev Kumar.
All the faculties had a key role in imparting the learnings of the program. Some modules were really tough, and thanks to the teaching methodologies of the teachers, we were able to comprehend them so effectively. There was great support from the teachers and, of course, Mohit, who was always present to lead us through the difficult times.
One of the greatest accomplishments is the learning of python language besides being introduced to the nuances of AI and machine learning. It was indeed a great journey overall, and I thank all the teachers for putting in the hard work to ensure that we not only complete the course in time but also understand and apply it well.
Hard work, patience and perseverance is the key to learning this interesting and intriguing subject. A lot of practice is required to master the subject, and there is no shortcut to success.
