Tell us about your professional background.

I did my Engineering in Electronics and Communication. I was working as a software engineer and partially worked with Analytics too. Currently, I am working at GlobalLogic.

Why did you decide to upskill and why Great Learning?

There was not much growth in my previous job role. Analytics is a growing field, and the job opportunities here are abundant. Another reason that I chose to upskill was the hike in salary.

Great Learning’s PGP-DSBA was ranked #1 for the past few years. After some research, I found that the faculty at Great Learning is notable. 

What did you like the most about PGP-DSBA?

Firstly, the capstone project was great. We were able to complete a project from scratch. Secondly, peer-to-peer learning was helpful since we could exchange ideas and knowledge. Thirdly, the faculty. They helped us whenever we had any doubts. 

How did Great Learning help you in achieving your career goals?

My main goal was to move into the field of Data Science and Analytics. After course completion, I got a job role in this domain. I work in the Data Science department and deal with NLP, Machine Learning concepts in my day-to-day life. I am confident about my skills and knowledge. The role is challenging, and pushes me to continue learning. I enjoy the work and can say that Great Learning helped me achieve my career goals. 

Advice for future DSBA aspirants?

If you’re trying to move into the Data Science or Machine Learning field, it is important to know the fundamental concepts. Focus on these aspects, read blogs, gather information from different sources, and gain a better understanding. Try implementing this learning in practical problems. This is how you’ll be able to grow and gain a clear understanding.
