I am Anuradha Sudharsen, VP for the digital and data team in India working for XYZ Company. I have completed my MBA from the SSN school of engineering and my BBA from The Ethiraj College for Women. I have 14+ years of experience and have joined PGP-DSBA to improve my data science exposure and skill set in this space.
In my organization, we had a problem statement where we had to predict the client used on the website. The client usage of a particular page on the website was declining, and we also had to analyze which clients we could target or push to use the website more. Similar to the problems we had in the DSBA Course, this was also something we were happy to be challenged with.
This was a required step to move the customer usage analysis in the right direction. We used Python and EDA and used several models before deciding on the LR model for stability and accuracy perspective. We also used visualization graphs to chunk this out to the management in a way that could be understood.
We used this model to predict the customer usage turnout for the next 12 months and the customers who would not be using it much.
This gave an opportunity to the management to target these customers in their reach out and address the issue head-on before it occurred. Now the model has been deployed within the organization. While the usage rate is increasing by 10% each month, this would be an ongoing initiative from our end and would be monitored on a regular basis for continuous improvement.
This turned out to be a lifesaver of a project for this website as the usage is continually increasing and giving us the efficiency of 0.82, and we always have the methodology in place to address any future issues as well.
