I am Kaustubh Bapat. I have completed my graduation in Electronics Engineering. I am working as a Software Engineer at Inteliment Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and have expertise in Python, R programming, Django, SQL, IoT, Image Processing.
I am working as a backend developer at Inteliment and currently working on Rubiscape. Rubiscape is a data science platform. While working on the product development side, I have to develop data science algorithms in such a way that it will be easy for users to tune and use the modules and perform the required model building. While developing, I was facing challenges in understanding the basic use and working of the modules.
So, I decided to explore data science which will help me to not only develop these algorithms but also implement use cases based on these. While exploring related courses, I consulted with my seniors, and we decided to go with Great Learning as it has a proper syllabus defined for the course, which helped me to understand the basics of data science.
The best thing about Great Learning is the mentoring sessions. So, in the weekly mentoring session, my mentor helped me and my batchmates to understand the usage of each module in industrial use cases. This helped me to build curiosity and also helped me to understand the problems. In any data science-related problem, having knowledge about data science is not the only thing. You need to understand the given problem, apply your knowledge, tackle the different possibilities, and provide the best outcome. These are things I learned in the mentoring session.
All the mentoring sessions were very good and informative. My mentor helped me to achieve the required goals in the entire course. Now after the completion of the course, I am able to use my developed product. Also, I am suggesting enhancement in different modules. Now I am aware of each module. I am able to develop it more efficiently. Those who are willing to enter into the Data Science domain, I would suggest, be open to learning new things. Get data from any website, try to find insights from it, and try to build models on your own.
