After doing all the formalities, the employer will send you an official offer letter of the company at your mail address or by hard copy, offering the freelance work officially.

Then, the actual work starts from here, you have to start work keeping in mind how you have to do that work and the deadline. How to start Freelancing?

This question is very interesting because everybody wants to start providing their freelancing services but they don’t know how to start freelancing. So here we are going to discuss how you can start freelancing.

You can find freelance work on different websites available on the internet. You can go to those websites and find suitable jobs according to your skills and knowledge and apply them, sharing the required details and your resume to the employer.

You can also create an online presence of your freelance account on these websites and share your skills and qualifications in your profile dashboard, then if an employer is searching for a freelancer that fits best in you, he can contact you offering the job.

Also, you can find freelance work on different job portals where the work is just project-based. Few sites of freelancing jobs include Upwork, Freelancer, and Peopleperhour that you can choose from.

How much can I earn as a Freelancer?

Usually, Freelancers get paid hourly, or at a fixed rate.

And the charge is different for a different type of work. Employers set their rates by themselves according to the project like how much time is required to complete it and how much effort it will take to complete the project. Based on these, the employer sets the rates.

However, the pay can often be negotiated if necessary and will vary for different types of jobs. For instance, the general pay for transcription services may only earn $6-12 per hour, while software development roles may earn $80 or even hundreds of dollars per hour. So the pay scale is different for different roles in freelancing like regular jobs.

You can also set your rates according to your particular skills to get a good income of your expectation that you could earn as a freelancer.

What are the requirements to become a Freelancer?

Honestly, there are no criteria to become a freelancer. The main thing is that you should know the work in which you are applying for freelancing. You must satisfy the requirements of the skillset.

First, gather some knowledge and skills according to your interest and then represent them on different freelance portals available on the internet. You just need to have the proper knowledge about the work. For instance, if you want to do freelance work for content writing, then you must have the proper information about the content that you are going to write. Also, you need to write the content which must be unique.

So, it’s not so difficult to be a freelancer. Gather some knowledge and start doing freelancing jobs.

Why are people looking for freelancing?

So, yes, the question is very interesting because freelancing is getting more popular day-by-day. People who are working from 9 to 5 are also looking for freelance jobs. Another reason why people are looking for freelancing is because you are your boss in freelancing or it is just like a self-employed job. You don’t need to take a burden on yourself about the work. At the same time, you will earn money by providing services to the companies according to their requirements.

In regular jobs, if you get holidays on weekends and you don’t want to waste that time taking rest all day long, you can apply for freelance work according to your interest and also get paid at the same time, so this becomes the second income of yours if you start freelancing with your regular job.

Some people have passion for something and also have some knowledge but sometimes their job does not require those skills, so they can also provide freelancing services to employers for the work that they wanted to do in their regular jobs and can earn enough money from it.

What are the risks of freelancing?

In Freelancing, there are both financial and health risks because if you start losing leads then it will impact your income and at the same time the company which is providing you freelance work will not provide more benefits like health insurance of the employee or any other benefits that you may get in regular jobs. So, if you suffer from health issues you have to spend from your income, the company will not provide any services like these in freelancing.

The main reason behind these risks are, in regular jobs the company will buy health insurance from the seller in bulk and provide you health and more benefits other than your fixed salary but in freelancing the company will not buy any health insurance in bulk because it is project-based work or very limited time work. So they don’t buy any health insurance for you. And if you want to purchase on your own then you have to spend money from your income.

These risks are worth considering before you start freelancing.
