Why did you choose to upskill?

I felt like my previous job got too monotonous. This is why I was looking for other fields or domains that I could work with. I started learning a few Machine Learning concepts and principles by myself. And this pushed me to learn more about the field. Thus, I decided to enrol in a structured course where I could get formal training.

Why Great Learning?

At the time when I started my journey, Great Learning was the only course that was giving us a blended course. They provided us with theoretical as well as practical hands-on experience. I liked the assignments, and how we were given feedback about after each assignment, this helped us a lot. As a professional, I found it helpful to join a well-structured program.

What was the best part of the course?

The best part of the course was the industry sessions. These were eye-opening for me. We were receiving information about the industry and real-time concepts, as well as experience about business problems and solutions. This was unique and helpful. The career support was good, through the job fair, I was able to land a job and got a few good opportunities.

Advice for future Machine Learning aspirants.

Spend less time on exploratory data analysis, solve real problems on Kaggle. You will gain experience in industry knowledge. Try out online hackathons too. Although GL trains you, it might help set you apart from the crowd. Try to understand the job description and your responsibilities well clearly before you go ahead and join.
