Design Thinking, a problem-solving approach to create innovative solutions, is embraced by professionals of every field – from a novice running his/her start-up to a CEO with more than 15 years of experience. Considering the endless benefits of learning Design Thinking, Harsh Baid enrolled in our program, believing that learning about it can help solve problems in his manufacturing business. Read on and learn more about his journey.

Question 1: Can you describe your background and job profile?

I am a final-year student at NMIMS, Mumbai. I am pursuing a Bachelors’s in Commerce with honors. Once done, I am planning to join my family business of manufacturing rigid plastic packaging.

Question 2: Is there any specific reason why you want to learn Design Thinking?

The human-centric approach towards problem-solving is necessary for today’s era. In the manufacturing line, I feel that everything is just numbers. Undoubtedly, numbers are required, but I think in the new competitive age, companies will find their ability to solve problems for their clients from a human approach.

Question 3: Many other courses are available to learn about Design Thinking; why did you choose Stanford GSB Executive Education?

I came across this course advertisement on YouTube. And after going through the same, I had immense trust that this course would be ideal.

Question 4: What do you have to say about the program structure? What did you like most about our program?

The program was well structured, with modules placed correctly, one after the other. I do feel the modules could have been more in-depth with some more examples. The interaction with Prof. Stefanos was good but limited, I feel. I loved the peer interaction and collaborative environment.

Question 5: How would you describe Great Learning’s handling of the COVID situation and ensuring a seamless experience for all the learners?

Rohan, the program manager, made everything extremely easy. He was prompt and always helpful.

Question 6: What’s your overall experience at Great Learning?

I had a great experience from the admin side of the course. I reiterate, Rohan was a great help to have.
