Slide numbers, like page numbers in books, are usually a good idea to include in presentations. There are two methods for adding slide numbers to your presentation. We will talk about both these methods.
Step 1: In the Text group on the Insert ribbon, select the Slide Number command.
Step 2 : The Header and Footer dialogue box pops up.
Step 3: Select the Slide number option.
Step 4: The Preview displays the section in which the slide number will appear.
You may alternatively start the same dialogue as in Step 2 by clicking on the Header & Footer menu item instead of the Slide Number command.
