PPT - Running Slide Show

The vast majority of PowerPoint presentations are designed to be played as a slideshow. Given all of PowerPoint 2010's advanced features, it's no surprise that many features connected to operating the slideshow have also been incorporated in this program. The majority of these features are designed to assist you in creating a good slideshow without having to re-create the complete presentation after every slight update. Under the Slideshow ribbon, you'll find features relevant to operating the slideshow.

Start Slideshow

From Beginning

It starts the slideshow from the beginning.

From Current Slide

It starts the slideshow from the active slide.

Broadcast Slideshow

Allows users to use Microsoft's PowerPoint Broadcast Service to broadcast their slideshows.

Custom Slideshow

Creates a customized slideshow by selecting the slides to be shown.

Set Up

Set Up Slideshow

Set up the slideshow, including the browser/full screen display, show options with or without narration/animation, pen and laser color during the slideshow, and the slides to be shown.

Hide Slide

Marks or unmarks a slide as hidden, allowing it to be skipped or shown during the slideshow.

Rehearse Timing

Users can practice the timing on each slide as well as the complete slideshow.

Record Slideshow

The slideshow is recorded, complete with narration and animation.

Slideshow Checkboxes

During the show, it helps set or prevent the usage of narrative audio and rehearsed timings. In the slideshow view, show the media controls.

Monitors

Resolution

Set the resolution for the slideshow view.

Show Presentation on

In the case of numerous displays, it chooses which one to use to display the presentation.

Use Presenter View

Instead of using the slideshow view, run the presentation in Presenter mode.
