WordPress Tags 
One of the default methods for categorising your WordPress posts is a WordPress tag. And it's one of the simplest things to post on your website. Because each post might have numerous tags, visitors can click on any of these tags to see other posts with the same tag. But unlike WordPress categories, tags are not mandatory. On one side, You’re free to add WordPress tags to your post, but also on another side, you can even publish a post without tags. This all depends upon your area of interest.

Now, let’s see how can you add tags to your wordpress post:- 

Add Tags 
When you hover on the post menu, you can find the tags option at the bottom. 

When you click on tags, you can find an option to add tags. There are a few more options during the addition of a new tag. Different options are name, Slug, and description. Type the name of the tag you want to add. And after that, you need to fill the slug option which is nothing but a user-friendly version of the name. 

It usually contains all lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. At last, you can make the description of the tag which is most possibly set to default by the user. When

you’re done click on add new tag option given in the left bottom corner of the dashboard. And this way, you’ve successfully added new tags to your post. 

Edit Tags 
There is also an option to edit the tags you created in case you have changed your mind or found some mistakes. In

the edit tags option, you can normally change the name, slug, and description of the tag, and then finally you need to click on the update button which is shown below in the bottom left corner of the page. 

Delete Tags 
Sometimes you need to delete a tag and you can do it easily without any complex stuff. Just click on the delete option shown below the title of the tag. And when you click on the delete option, your tag will be deleted.
